ROYAL MARINES CLUB DEAL

The Falklands 25 Commemorative Dagger was commissioned by Pooley Sword who manufacture high-quality ceremonial swords for the UK Armed Forces. The dagger has been produced using only the highest-quality blued steel and to exactly the original WW2 Sykes-Fairbairn pattern. Arrangements were made for Mr Pooley to receive on loan from the Curator of the Corps museum an original knife so that measurements might be taken to ensure that the commemorative piece would be a faithful copy in every respect.

The Falklands 25th Anniversary Commemorative Commando Dagger has a Falklands ‘Yomper' figure on one side with the inscription '25th Anniversary 1982 -2007' and on the reverse a Falklands Islands Heraldic Shield along with a banner script bearing the words 'The Falkland Islands Campaign 1982' all acid etched in gold against the blade’s dark blue background.

This high-quality commemorative piece comes in a superb blue presentation box complete with white silk lining and gold ornamental clasp. In keeping with the commemorative quality of this knife it is being offered in a strict 200 numbered one-off limited edition.

It is hoped to encourage Sir Rex Hunt CMG, Governor of the Falklands Island during the invasion, to write a letter describing the Falkland Islands long connection with the Royal Marines and with particular reference to the part the Corps played in the liberation of the Islands 25 years ago. If obtained, a facsimile of Sir Rex’s letter will be included with each copy of the 25th Anniversary Commando Dagger sold.

All profits from each knife sold will be donated to the Commando Training Centre Unit Institute Fund that supports projects for the good of all ranks at the Centre.

The Falklands 25 Commemorative Dagger is priced at £150.00 and is available from the UIF Shop at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines. Further information can be had from:
